There are always opportunities to help out at the Inn, and it doesn’t have to be a time consuming commitment. For example, front desk shifts start at two hours per week. We need immediate volunteer help in the following areas:

  • Meal Preparers
    • Thousands of meals without a commercial kitchen. How is such a thing possible?

      Because of folks just like you. Meals are prepared off site by individuals, families & friends, businesses,
faith-based and community groups. Those same people then come in and serve the meal. There are many ways to accomplish this vital task and we can help you tailor your participation. You can even shop in our pantry for the ingredients! We also have large restaurant-style pans that you can borrow to use in the preparation and transportation of your meal. And maybe the best news of all… you don’t have to clean up!

      We also have BBQ’s on site if you would like to utilize those in your food preparation.

      Don’t have the time or desire to cook? Don’t have a kitchen? You can still be part of this vital program by donating food items that other volunteers will use when preparing meals!  Just give us a call to find out what ingredients we need most.

      Weekend Breakfasts Needed:  Hot, nutritionally balanced breakfast needed for approximately 50ish residents on Saturdays and Sundays.  Breakfast is served 6:50am – 7:50am.  We can supply some ingredients from our pantry as well as pans.

      July 2017: 1, 4, 19, 22, 30

      August 2017: 5, 16, 17, 20, 26, 29, 31

      September 2017: 2, 7, 20, 21, 22, 23

      October 2017: 3, 7, 18, 30, 31

      November 2017: 4, 15, 22, 23, 29

      December 2017: 2, 7, 14, 20, 28

      *if you and/or your group are interested in preparing and serving dinners regularly/monthly throughout the year please contact the volunteer coordinator for information on regularly available dates! 


       

       

  • Front Desk
    • We are currently looking for volunteers to run the Front Desk.

      Title:         Front Desk Reception
      Hours:      2 hour shifts
      Days:        Flexible

      The Front Desk is operated by volunteers 7 days a week from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm.

      Volunteers will receive training in Front Desk Procedures and should be able to commit to being scheduled at least one day per week.  Age 21 or older. Please review the Front Desk Job Description and complete the Front Desk Application.  Email our Volunteer Coordinator volunteer@bethleheminn.org for additional information.
