Monitor – Part-time/All Shifts

A monitor is responsible for the safety and security of residents and the facility. This includes organizing and maintaining the filing system and maintaining confidentiality as well as providing case management services to adults and families with children. Must be flexible, adaptable and comfortable in challenging environments. Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office with proficiency in Excel. This position is both challenging and rewarding. Founded in 1999, The Bethlehem Inn is a community supported emergency shelter committed to providing a safe, secure and accountable environment for residents to meet basic needs and connect to community resources. Our goal is to support single adults and families in making life-affirming choices and measurable progress towards self-sufficiency. The Bethlehem Inn provides emergency access to shelter and food in a safe, secure environment.

Essential Monitor Duties:
Supervision of facility
Perform case management including holding residents accountable for responsibilities and actions under the organizations rules and regulations
Review and contribute to daily communications log
Perform intakes on new residents including conducting breathalyzer and drug tests as needed
Collects and enters daily data to track resident demographics
Conduct regular facility rounds alert for any activities not in accordance with rules and regulations
Supervise application of kitchen policies and if necessary prepare meals correlating to shift
Works with volunteers
Assigns and supervises resident chore assignments

Essential Case Management Duties:
Conduct resident-centered comprehensive assessments
Assist resident in transition by providing support, guidance and direction

Desired Skills:
Must be proficient with computer including Microsoft Word and Excel
Must have current food handler’s card
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Ability to think, adapt and react quickly in a changing environment
