What to expect

  • Minimum age of 18 years
  • Clean and sober environment supported by drug and alcohol testing
  • Residents agree to a curfew with flexibility for employment
  • Communal living
  • Comprehensive Case Management
  • Length of stay based on situation and participation

Application Process

  • Applications are submitted through referring partner agencies and reviewed by an independent committee.
  • Intakes are scheduled based on vacancy and eligibility.
  • Applicants who are selected will be contacted by a BIRCH representative.
  • Applications that are not selected will remain in our system for (3) months.
  • If you have not been contacted by a BIRCH representative regarding intake for (3) months after submitting your application, it is suggested that you re-apply.

Reasonable Accommodation

Any BIRCH resident may request reasonable accommodation in relation to BIRCH procedures and practices.  Staff will evaluate the request on a case-by-case basis and attempt to resolve the issue through an interactive process. All reasonable accommodation requests should be directed to BIRCH management.  Forms are available for this purpose at the Front Desk.
